
JAVI GODINEZ
VIOLIN + VOCALS

Javier Godinez has toured, recorded with and written music with several Grammy Award winning musicians. He was one of the first members of the now defunct Lloyd Dobler Effect and a founding member of the popular Latin Rock band, Stone Gato. He was the Music Director at Bach to Rock for three years as well as a Violin Instructor at the Black Rock Center for the Performing Arts. Javi has recorded on several albums released by various Rock, Hip Hop and World Musicians.
Javi received his Bachelors in Music Education from the Catholic University of America in 2016. He has studied Brazilian Jazz, Eastern Persian and Afro Peruvian Music and performed as a headlining act at the Folk Life Festival in DC.
Currently, Javi applies his 25 years of training on the violin as Music Teacher in the Montgomery County Public School system and as a member of the internationally renowned group, The Pan American Orchestra.
Javi's philosophy is simple and sweet: "Aspire, Learn, Inspire and Teach. Keep it positive, one day at a time, no matter what life throws at you."
